I had been an online student of Lindsey’s calligraphy content for a year and a half and was delighted when she came out with a watercolor course, since I had been wanting to learn more technique. It is an excellent course taught in her signature patient and relaxed manner. The projects apply all the techniques learned at the start, so you never feel lost. I felt I learned a lot and would highly recommend it. Thank you Lindsey for TPK and all you do!

many many years ago I learnt calligraphy and recently decided to have another go at it!!!
Well…. with Lindsey, not only did I get calligraphy but also my other creative desire – watercolour!!!!
Now I get to ‘BLISS OUT” on both beautiful crafts together!!!
Lindsey has such wonderful ideas. She is a great teacher!!! I never thought I could paint all the articles I painted in the watercolour course – but with Lindsey’s help and encouragement I achieved ALL the projects!!!
Now, I just continue to learn from all the wonderful tutorials that Lindsey has offered at The Postman’s Knock…. THANK YOU Lindsey and all the team

I have been loving the Watercolor Course and even though I’ve only gotten through three of the lessons it has given me enough confidence to launch into a variety of projects – both tutorials and a couple of improvisations of my own. I look forward to completing this course and moving on to the Maps course.

I loved this course!!! I have done quite a few online videos and paid for other watercolour classes, The Postmans’s Knock class was truly the best, I finally understood what was going on. The hardest part for me is to get the initial sketch completed, using the guidelines provided I was able to complete some watercolours and then attempted my own sketch. This course is well worth the money.

The course is very comprehensive. Great job Lindsey! A couple of supplements: – When painting a line of varying width such as a flower stem, exert greater force on the brush to get a thicker line then less force to narrow the line – Start with light colors (it’s hard to restrain yourself!) and gradually add layers on top with either more of the light color or darker colors to gradually intensify

This course left me feeling more confident in my beginning watercolor skills. I have played around with watercolors for years but never saw any improvement as I was teaching myself. Books just weren’t a help at all unfortunately for my learning style. Lindsey has such a down to earth style, and I found the informality comfortable and relaxing. It was like someone REAL was teaching it. It’s hard to explain, but I found the whole format easy to watch and learn from. The last project, a portrait, I figured would come out entirely amateurish and frustrating. Yes, it is amateur, it’s my first, but damn if it didn’t inspire me to want to try another and honestly, it was much better than I thought it would be. 🙂 This course was well worth the money. I find Lindsey inspiring and enjoyable to watch. She’s made me want to continue learning and playing with watercolors. I am very grateful to have come out of the course with that.

I highly recommend this watercolor course! I loved Lindsey’s teaching style. She guides you through specific exercises and projects of increasing level of difficulty as you progress through the course. By the end of the course you realize you have learned the basic skills needed to paint any object, not just the specific subjects covered in the course. For me that was invaluable and I’m looking forward to trying the other watercolor tutorials on the TPK site.

This has been a lot of fun to go through. I appreciated each project that we made knowing that I will use it in the future, I look forward to painting my Christmas cactus when it blooms using the same knowledge that I got when I painted the peony. I’m making a card for my dad using the same technique that I learned from the starry sky picture. I look forward to drawing anime characters which, praise the Lord, have much simpler face coloring. It was also good practice drawing the pictures from my computer learning how to accurately see and copy that image. In summary, I look forward to continuing on in my watercoloring having these new skills in my tool belt.
